Cracked pitcher Interesting Story For Kids!!
It occurred a long time ago. A farmer lived in a village. He used to get up early in the morning every day and go to get clean water from distant springs. For this purpose, he used to take two big pitchers with him, which he used to tie on poles and hang them on either side of his shoulder.
One of them was cracked from somewhere and the other was perfect. Because of this, the farmer used to have only one and a half pitcher of water while reaching home everyday. This was going on for two years.
The right pot was proud of the fact that it reaches home full of water and there is no shortage in it. On the other hand, the broken pitcher used to feel ashamed that it reaches only half the water to the house and the hard work of the farmer goes in vain. The broken pot started getting very upset thinking about all this and one day he could not live with it, he said to the farmer - "I am ashamed of myself and want to apologize to you?"
′′ Why, the farmer asked what are you ashamed of?
“Perhaps you do not know but I am bursting at one place and for the last two years I have been able to deliver only half of the water that I should have brought home. This is a big flaw in me and because of this your hard work has been wasted, said the broken pot sadly.
The farmer was a little saddened to hear about the pitcher and he said- "No problem, I want you to see the beautiful flowers falling on the way while returning today."
The pitcher did the same, he kept looking at beautiful flowers all the way, by doing this his sadness went away. But by the time he reached home, half of the water had fallen from inside, he became disheartened and started apologizing to the farmer.
The farmer said - maybe you didn't pay attention. All the flowers that were there on the whole way were only on your side, there was not a single flower on the right side of the pitcher. This is because I always knew the weakness in you and I took advantage of it. I had sown the seeds of colorful flowers on the road on your side, you watered them little by little every day and made the whole road so beautiful. Today it is because of you that I am able to offer these flowers to God and make my house beautiful. You think if you were not the way you are, would I have been able to do all this?"
Education:-
Friends, we all have some or the other shortcomings, but these shortcomings make us unique. Like that farmer, we should also accept everyone as they are and pay attention to their goodness and when we do this, even a "broken pitcher" will become more valuable than a "good pitcher".
